Scientific Symposium
The Collaborative Research Center/Transregio 39 “Production Technologies for light metal and fiber reinforced composite based components with integrated Piezoceramic Sensors and Actuators“ - short PT-PIESA - frequently organizes internationally recognized scientific symposia on fields of his research area. These conferences incorporate key aspects of design and structuring of process chains for active structural components based on sheet metal forming, light metal pressure die casting and fibre composites. Also aspects of component testing and quality control for the integrated piezo sensors and actuators will be addressed.
5th Scientific Symposium SFB/TR 39 PT-PIESA
The 5th Scientific Symposium was held in Dresden from September 14th to 16th and addressed the theme “lightweight design by integrating functions”.
The globalization and the scarcity of resources, as well as the climate change, represent new challenges for the production technology. A solution approach: lightweight constructions and integrating functions. The integration of sensors and actuators out of transducer materials in light weight construction materials allow the dissolution of conflicts of interpretation within the conflicting priorities of lightweight constructions and vibration behavior, as well as the component condition´s integrated monitoring.
In a series of keynotes and guest lectures, national experts from the word of research and industry brought into discussion interesting ideas. Furthermore, researcher from the SFB/TR39 informed about the achieved stage of development.
The event took place in Dresden, in Fraunhofer IWU, which offered an excellent settings for the symposium. In the course of the “get together” guided tours of the institute and the test field were offered. This enable a rich information exchange, preliminary to the 5th Scientific Symposium, between the scientist of SFB/TR39 and the industry representatives. 4th Scientific Symposium SFB/TR 39 PT-PIESA
The 4th Scientific Symposium of the TR 39 PT-PIESA was held with the subject "Lightweight Design by Integrating Functions" in Nuremberg/Germany on March 26th and 27th, 2013.
Throughout a series of keynotes and guest lectures international experts from the world research and the industry put into debate interesting ideas. In addition, researchers form the CRC/TR39 brought the public up to date about the accomplished development´s state.
The main focus were the design and construction of the process chain for active structural components on the basis of sheet forming, light alloy die casting and fiber composites, as well as aspects of the component testing and quality assurance for the integrated piezo sensors and actuators.
The event took place in Nurenberg in the Marbel Hall of the “Nürnberger Akademie”, which offered an excellent framework for the symposium. 3rd Scientific Symposium SFB/TR 39 PT-PIESA
„Integration of Active Functions into Structural Components“ was the theme of 3rd Scientific Symposium , held on October 12 - 13, 2011 in Chemnitz/Germany
In a number of keynotes the world of research and the industry put into debate interesting ideas. In addition, researchers form the CRC/TR39 brought the public up to date about the accomplished development´s state. Under the diverse aspects of the component design, especially from the point of view of the production technology, different solution approaches were compared and valued. During the presentations, the CRC put emphasis on the design and construction of the process chains for active structural components on the basis of sheet forming, light alloy die casting and fiber composites, as well as aspects of the component testing and quality assurance for the integrated piezo sensors and actuators.
